AISP® — Certified AI Safety Professional

For AI in safety practitioners responsible for implementing AI-driven solutions in safety-critical environments.

Programme Overview

AISP® validates that a professional can implement, operate and assure AI systems safely within occupational health, safety and risk environments.

The certification covers the full lifecycle of deploying AI in safety-critical settings — from problem framing and data governance through model assurance, human oversight and incident readiness. Candidates demonstrate competency against the AI Safety Competency Framework through applied assessment and a proctored examination.

Assessment combines applied evidence uploads with a proctored examination against the AI Safety Competency Framework. Final pricing and exam windows are confirmed at enrolment.

Who it's for

Syllabus

Core concepts, terminology, and the AI Safety Competency Framework. Map where AI already appears in OSH workflows and what “safety-critical” means for workplace decisions. Includes short lessons on problem framing and scope boundaries.
Data quality, bias, representativeness, and validation for models that inform safety decisions. Cover documentation, change control, and assurance evidence employers and regulators expect.
Design human-in-the-loop patterns, fail-safes, and escalation paths. Define competence requirements for people who override or approve AI recommendations in operational settings.
Ongoing monitoring, drift and performance checks, audit trails, and preparing for AI-related incidents and near-misses. Connects to investigation pathways covered in AIIP®.
